Existing members

Subscriptions are due on 1st August each year. Existing members are sent an invitation to renew their membership immediately after the AGM in June. Because we are now running a waiting list, we are asking existing members to renew their membership by 31st July 2025. After this date we shall be admitting those on the waiting list and new members as well as any remaining renewing members – up to our maximum membership. 

The subscription for the year 2025/2026 is £55 a person. Please us for more iinformation about renewing your membership .

A programme card containing the details of the forthcoming programme and committee members etc will be available to pick up from the reception desk at each lecture. Information about all the coming season's lectures, visits and Days of Special Interest can also be found elsewhere on this website.

Membership enquiries and requests for a membership application form should be made by email to shelley.dyer88@talktalk.net The annual subscription entitles members:

• to attend 10 lectures per year (no lecture in August or September)
• to receive the Arts Society magazine ‘Review’ four times a year direct from headquarters in London

In addition, members and visitors may enjoy:

• visits and tours to places of interest
• Days of Special Interest (a deeper dive into a particular subject)

These are subject to additional charges.If you are thinking of joining us, please don’t let the fact that we are running a waiting list put you off! We always have a turnover of members each season so please contact us. VisitorsWe welcome visitors and the charge is £10 per lecture, payable at the door (please make yourself known to the reception desk team at the back of the hall on arrival). We take cash and cheques and you can also pay by card. At the moment you are welcome to attend as a visitor up to three times in a season.
